Nostalgia

The word nostalgia is what actually GEC meant for.

Campus life actually mixed its spicy recipe during my BTech in GEC though I was an eyewitness of the second last batch of PDC. We had something special there in GEC to make it ever green, something that i cant express... really it was memorable days.

But days gone.. and frenz parted.. moved to various locations, the golden age gone! now tedious tasks, tight schedules, heads are upon livelihood.. but even i dont have anything to coin a phrase!
Social web recreated the old gang with the freshness, though not physically felt but we could travel at least through memories. We had tried to tie the friends always through one or another network. We started with yahoo groups, later to google, then to orkut and at last we are tied with facebook.

..Government Engineering College Kozhikode from 1999 to 2003. College life during those years was probably a blend of excitement, challenges, and memorable experiences. It was a rollercoaster ride, filled with a kaleidoscope of emotions. The campus was abuzz with energy as students from diverse backgrounds came together, eager to explore the world of engineering and technology.

Friendships bloomed instantly, as classmates bonded over shared interests and dreams. The college offered an ideal environment to learn and grow, and with each passing day, the students became a tight-knit family, supporting and encouraging one another through the ups and downs of college life.

Classes were intense and challenging, but the professors were dedicated to imparting knowledge and nurturing a love for learning. The students delved into complex subjects, often burning the midnight oil together, preparing for exams and working on projects.

Yet, it wasn't all about academics. College life was a celebration of youth and freedom. Festivals and cultural events brought the campus alive with music, dance, and festivities. The annual college fest was a highlight, drawing students from across the region to showcase their talents and compete in various competitions.

In between the academic pursuits and celebrations, love found its way into the hearts of some students. Campus romances blossomed, adding a touch of romance and sweetness to the vibrant atmosphere. Many couples walked hand in hand through the lush green campus, making memories that would last a lifetime.

Amidst all the joy, there were moments of sadness too. The pressures of studies, personal challenges, and uncertainties about the future sometimes weighed heavily on the students. However, the strong bonds they had formed with each other acted as a support system, helping them navigate through tough times.

As the four years flew by, the batch of 1999-2003 left the college with a treasure trove of memories. They had grown not only as engineers but also as individuals. The college had instilled in them a sense of purpose, a passion for learning, and a deep appreciation for the friendships and experiences that shaped them.

Years later, the alumni of Government Engineering College Kozhikode, Batch 1999-2003, would fondly recall those days – a time of fullness, happiness, and transformation that played a significant role in shaping their lives and forging lifelong bonds of friendship.
